Several months ago, I was asked to speak at the Epcot International Flower & Garden Show in Orlando at the Disney resort during Fresh Week. Of course I agreed! So this weekend I'm in Florida at the show and I have to tell you that all the staff (or cast members as they call them here)  have been just wonderful giving me white glove treatment and getting me where I need to be.  

The show organizers also offered to fly my Mom down for the weekend, so she was able to join me (and be my photographer!) and also enjoy the show. We've been having a blast. The food is great, the flowers are beautiful, our room in the Animal Kingdom Lodge overlooks the area where giraffes, zebras, wildebeast and all sorts of other native African animals graze (it's SO hot here, I'm sure they think the're still back in Africa!), and it's been so much fun presenting two brand new talks to bunches and bunches of people interested in backyard chickens.
