LISA STEELE | Fresh Eggs Daily®
My blog was named one of the Top Ten Gardening Blogs by Better Homes & Gardens magazine in 2014 and currently enjoys more than 400,000 page views each month - and more than 63 million visits since I started it in 2012 - while my six books on raising backyard flocks have sold more than 155,000 copies worldwide and been translated into French and German.
I currently produce and host the award-winning "country lifestyle" television show Welcome to my Farm which can be seen on more than 300 public television stations across the country, nationwide on CreateTV, and streaming on PBS Passport - and also on public television in Australia and New Zealand. Welcome to my Farm has won 5 Telly awards, 2 Taste awards, and been nominated for 2 regional Emmy awards.
I am an accomplished home cook and Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School certified recipe developer. My debut cookbook, The Fresh Eggs Daily Cookbook, was published by HarperCollins in 2022, has sold nearly 30,000 copies and been translated into Russian. It received a coveted Publishers Weekly starred review and was chosen as an Amazon Editors Best Cookbooks of the Month upon release. In 2018, I launched a private-label line of natural poultry products which has grown into a $1 million business annually on Chewy.com and Amazon and began appearing on retail store shelves early in 2024.
I have also collaborated with brands such as Duluth Trading Co., The Spice House, Lehmans, Stonewall Kitchen, Oakhurst Dairy, Lodge and Wayfair.
I live on a small farm in central Maine with her husband, their corgi, and more than two dozen chickens, ducks and geese. My unique approach raising backyard flocks naturally, using lots of old-timers methods the way my grandparents did, as well as herbs and other holistic preventives has resonated with readers and led to the continued success of my brand.
